Starfield, which has been the hallmark moniker for “Toddslop,” has set the bar for future Bethesda games fairly low. Starfield’s launch has been met with a considerable amount of negative reception and I fully expect that Elder Scrolls 6 will meet the same fate. To succinctly put my point: Skyrim will remain the gold standard and Elder Scrolls 6 will fall as flat as Starfield has. That is unless Bethesda does some major restructuring with their creative design. Skyrim is where this series will rest on its laurels forever, unless innovation comes fast. Starfield gave us an inferior experience to Skyrim, even with the wealth of new technology and learnings from Skyrim and Elder Scrolls Online, along with Fallout 4 and Fallout 76. Starfield Sets the Bar Low Starfield should have been the latest open world RPG that players flock to. A space setting, with the Bethesda world building and…

In Five Nights at Freddy’s Help Wanted 2, there are two endings. The first ending occurs once you finish the mini-games within the game. The second ending requires finding a variety of secrets within the game world and then being able to witness some additional lore in the game. Original Ending The original ending has you take the Vanny Mask and end up, somehow, handing it to Cassidy at the start of Ruin via the mask bot. Secret Ending Explained In this ending, you go into Princess Quest 4 and continue the “quest” which has you wandering around the game. Eventually there’s a perception change and you’re now within the Princess Quest 4 game, following along in the quest. At the very end, you trade the “Vanny Mask” for a “Glitchtrap Plushie” and then go into the elevator from the trailer. The elevator reveals a large claw machine with the…

Cult of the Lamb is a game I was iffy on for a long time and was happy to find the motivation to spend a week playing it to completion. It mixes city management alongside a roguelike top-down hack and slasher which is very appealing, but it only really offers great gameplay if you more or less want to run the same few dungeons (four in total) over and over again. There’s a lot of games that evoke the same feelings in the same way Cult of the Lamb does, like Trigger Witch, where they have all the parts that make an amazing game but none of the substance or content to deliver. There are a few weapon types, a few spells you can use. The game’s pacing is predictable and every note you expect it to hit strikes. I both love and don’t love Cult of the Lamb. We…

The Main Scenario Quests (MSQs) are the core story quests in Final Fantasy XIV that guide you through the major plot points of the game. They unlock as you progress through the levels and expansions. As the game evolves and you can skip earlier content, the MSQs are still a critical part of the leveling adventure no matter what expansion you start with. The MSQs will be your primary source of experience points (XP) as you level up, especially for your first job. You’ll get tons of XP rewards from completing these quests, which makes leveling up smooth and straightforward. We have another leveling guide focused purely on the first 70 levels, whereas this guide is for anywhere in the game that you may be. My advice for new players is to focus solely on the MSQs when starting out. Don’t get distracted by side quests or other activities, just…

Alterium Shift is an aspirational JPRG designed to follow in the footsteps of Legend of Mana and Chrono Trigger. Still in Early Access, the development so far has shown great promise that we may yet see another breakout hit this generation with the essence from decades ago. Alterium Shift is an aesthetic charm and once a bit more buttoned up will definitely be a competitive player in JRPG arena. We took a deep dive into the game and gave the early access a preview. It’s nice to note the game has a demo, which means if you’re on the fence about what’s available now you can always check it out before you commit. In the developer’s notes on Steam, which are really heartwarming and extremely fair, they even encourage users to. Be sure to give it a read if you’re curious about more details about the game. What is Alterium…

The Mimic can be considered to be William Afton’s soul transferred to an animatronic, known as Springtrap that’s had the springlock suit break apart. Springtrap, after being burned, becomes Burntrap. Burntrap, after being left alone for a while and decaying to its endoskeleton, becomes the Mimic. This is one possibility. This is supported by the fact that the model for the Mimic is based on Burntrap. While it doesn’t have a rabbit-like face, it does fit into the Burntrap suit perfectly. An alternate possability is that The Mimic in Security Breach is the endoskeleton of Circus Baby. It’s theorized that Circus Baby was a springlock suit and that there was an endoskeleton inside. This is why the only time you see Baby in Sister Location, she’s in the same position as Golden Freddy, another springlock suit. The Circus Baby springlock suit was destroyed in the fire but the endoskeleton, aka…

There are three endings in FNAF: Security Breach – Ruin. We’ll go over how to get the three endings first. Then we go into what exactly happens along with some expose on popular theories. Then we’ll go into some of the personal characters. To be very blunt, the ending to FNAF: Security Breach – Ruin is left hard to interpretation and theorizing. Steel Wool gave 100% into the theorist community in regards to how they developed the endings; they’re much more choose your own interpretation of the game’s meaning. The official three ending names are now “Neutral”, “Brazil” and “Scooped.” That wraps it up for our coverage of FNAF: Security Breach – Ruin’s endings.

I recently purchased this really fun Game Boy refurb called “Pastel Boy” from Vapor95 which is a reseller for Gamerchanger Mods. They took a case from MizuCat (which was limited to 50), some upgrades and voila: you get a new Game Boy. I haven’t received it yet but it got me hankering for more: I realized this wasn’t a Game Boy Color. This was, by all accounts, a wonderful decoration for my house and nifty toy but it wasn’t really useful. I needed something where I could bring my massive library that I have amassed of portable games around with me and the Zelda Game & Watch is really useful, but it only has Zelda. I don’t want just PSP either, I want GBA! Luckily that’s where retro handhelds come in. Steam Deck / ROG Ally These devices are now more aesthetic or price based – $150 or less to…
