Mobile phone gaming has come a long way, and whether you’re a casual gamer just looking to pass some time, or someone looking for a challenge during your lunch break, the iOS App Store has something to offer you. These games were not necessarily released in March of this year, but they are all currently available to download. You can click on the app icons to be redirected to the games’ App Store pages. Without further ado, here are our picks for the top ten iOS games from March 2019, in no particular order. 1. Trivia Crack 2 (Etermax, Free) The trivia sensation finally got a sequel late last year, and fans of the original should feel right at home. For those of you who haven’t played Trivia Crack, it works about how you would expect for a trivia game to work: players roll a category, they try to answer…

The World Next Door is about a girl named Jun who goes to a portal that connects Earth with this other world and then she gets stuck with her kawaii alien friends who work to return her home before she perishes, as Humans can not survive on this other world. I found the game lacked balance between the start and the ending. The game starts off with a lot of energy and story that reminds me a lot of Night in the Woods or Oxenfree. It then quickly begins to turn into a monster of the week like crawl through what short bites of story you get and finally lands in a room temperature bowl of chicken noodle soup, lacking any satisfactory closure to the many plot threads that exist. The action combat is puzzle based but I found avoiding damage to be tedious and cumbersome so I just turned…

After releasing a teaser trailer just one day prior, Gearbox delivered a press conference at PAX East on Thursday that many Borderlands fans have been anticipating for quite some time. No, I’m not talking about Randy Pitchford’s demonstration of his magic skill. On top of the foreshadowed Borderlands 3, here are all of the announcements from Gearbox’s PAX East showcase. Pathologic 2 Gets a Release Date The strangely-named Pathologic 2, which is actually a remake of the 2005 cult classic Pathologic rather than a proper sequel, got a release date of May 23rd, 2019. The game is being published by tinyBuild of Hello Neighbor fame in cooperation with Gearbox and will be released in chapters through Steam. Risk of Rain 2 The sequel to Hopoo Games’ popular rogue-like takes the series from the 2nd dimension into the 3rd. A third-person co-op game being published by Gearbox, it’s a bit of…

Have you ever had a family member that loves their childhood and just won’t shut up about it? Like the uncle that peaked in high school that could go on for days about his old football career, or your mom who just keeps telling stories of what a rebel she was way back when but no matter what it is they talk about you start to hate it? Well sadly the passage of time affects us all and eventually, our generation becomes those people and it seems like the current shtick is 90’s video games. Don’t get me wrong, I totally appreciate that generation for giving us some amazing storytelling and paving the way for so many amazing games, the Monkey Island games, the Doom series, this was the generation where console gaming hit its stride so I will forever be eternally grateful. What you have to admit though is…

Blizzard’s Heroes of the Storm is currently deep in its first season for 2019. For all you Deckard Cain players out there, here is a quick guide to keep you each in front of the pack this season. 2019 is both a big year for RPGs and a slow one. Tons of really anticipated RPGs and long, storied franchises are either finally coming back or dipping their toe into new territory, but oddly enough the majority of these big releases happened early on in the year. Thankfully there are still plenty of (hopefully) amazing titles coming later in the year so let’s check out what the most anticipated RPGs that are coming out later this year! 5. Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth The latest game in the fan service fueled handheld adaptation of the Persona franchise Persona Q2 is on its way to the 3DS! Adding onto the already jam-packed cast from the first title, Q2 also adds the Phantom thieves from Persona 5, and a few original characters new to the sequel. The gameplay of this sequel has been simplified to appeal to the audience brought in…

With the live-action trend happening in movies today, it’s no surprise that a Sonic the Hedgehog movie is going down. The character design was recently leaked, and I must say that it was a little shocking to me. I’ll let you be the judge yourself. The image of Sonic was released but then taken down by the movie marketing company. Maybe the design will be revamped due to a backlash on social media; I’m not sure. Personally, I am not a fan of the design. I think it looks weird and whacky and is a poor representation of Sonic. It appears a little creepy honestly, not like a hero that you would want to root for. I don’t get why they are going for this realistic, live-action concept for Sonic. It may work for movies like The Lion King, but that’s because those animals are real and can be easily…

One of the things that has always made the Metro video game series so interesting is its growing arsenal of fascinating weapons. From stealthy crossbows to rampaging machine guns, the franchise has always featured fun tools for players to use. Following the latest title within the series, things are certainly no different. Now we can delve deep into the weapons system of the recent Metro Exodus to see what kind of incredible arsenal fans can play with. Metro Exodus hit shelves back in Feb., now playable on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. The game received largely positive critical reviews, ultimately earning an 83 Metacritic score on PC. Having reportedly had a strong first month of sales, Metro Exodus is tunneling its way into living rooms worldwide. A follow up to Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light, Metro Exodus is the latest in a trilogy of games that are…

Why? It’s a question that many gaming fans over the years have screamed in agony at every turn, and the newest target seems to be every time a new game gets announced and the main selling point is the Battle Royal experience. Why is there another one? Why would they waste their time in an already saturated market? Why did they think we need this? Why, why, why? Some say that it’s just because of the money, but I have a feeling that it’s a bit more complex than that. Before I dig too deep into that I want to make sure everyone is on the same page about what exactly makes a Battle Royal game. The term Battle Royal comes from the Japanese movie of the same name in which a group of high school students is placed on an island and forced to fight to the death, which…

This is satire. If it’s something you can believe, that speaks to BioWare’s problems eh Bowser move over, BioWare is attempting to find someone internally to promote to CEO named Sovereign, to bring forth their powers to help save the studio after yet another flop has been released. Anthem, their first original IP since Dragon Age, has flopped because everyone on social media has said it has. Previous games, such as Mass Effect Andromeda were on sale for $9.99 shortly after release, being a game that was similar to the Halo games that didn’t have Master Chief, but with the trappings of a numbered Halo game. Nintendo recently promoted Bowser to rule over Nintendo of America, dethroning the bad meme that was Reggie, in order to instill an iron fist rule over the corporation. Hopefully, Sovereign, if they can find one, will come forth to save BioWare from itself and…
