The year was circa 2002. Ragnarok Online was getting long in the tooth and I was invited into a mystical world that existed only until 2005, which was Dark Age of Camelot. The entire game itself was I would argue harder than Dark Souls. Soloing anything was next to near impossible and leveling required a group and lots of patience. FFXI, while not my cup of tea, was in many ways similar and players have similar opinions. The point of the game, the success, came from community. The GTX 1660 Ti is a joke without a punchline. It’s basically a slightly better maybe GTX 1070, based off of the GTX 2060, but without the DLSS or ray tracing which makes the GTX 2060 different than say… the GTX 1070. So basically it’s like, a GTX 1070 but if you’re good at math and bad at reading, something you’d like buy again thinking it was somehow better. Leveraging Nivida’s clown based numbering system, the GTX 1660 Ti fits between a GTX 1070 and the GTX 1070 Ti / GTX 2060. Some random tech YouTuber claims that they made the 16 series because it’s closer to the 20 series than the 10 series, but a GTX 1080 and 1080 Ti are still vastly superior cards to the 1660 Ti so it really should be like a 1075 or if we’re keeping the 0s a 1070 and a half. While video game media titan Activision Blizzard, Inc. is planning on laying off 8% of their massive workforce, a total 400 employees at one of the company’s offices are still unsure if they are being cut. Back in 2007, Activision revealed that it would merge with Vivendi Games. As Vivendi Games is a holding company to Blizzard Entertainment, the company of Activision Blizzard, Inc. was quickly forged. Recently I heard of a story about Formula 1 Racing. There was some race between an accomplished F1 racer and an Esports racer on a real-life track. If I’m betting money on this race, I’m throwing it all on the tried and true driver, the one who has raced in the physical world. I would have lost all of my money. The Esports driver won, beating the actual driver with years of experience by 0.6 seconds – unbelievable. The training from his video game sim was so realistic; he was able to drive a real F1 car better than a serious competitor in the racing realm. How else can video games be used as training?
